Stellarium celestron nexstar 6se5/25/2023 Many dimmer nebula will probably look better in 20-30mm (medium magnification, still a fairly large exit pupil of 2-3mm), 13mm is OK for many clusters and smaller nebula. ![]() :-) The higher you magnify, the dimmer things get. Three or four eyepieces can go a long way. Works well with NexRemote, Stellarium, SkyTools 3, Cartes du Ciel. They have a longer eye-relief than short Plössl, and a nice large 66° apparent field of view (see first link above).Ħmm will result in 250x, which is a bit much for average seeing, but if it works, it's great for planets. Supported Devices Works well with Celestron Nextar 4SE, NexStar 6se, NexStar 8 SE. On a budget, the gold-line eyepieces are great ($18-$25 at Aliexpress, $25 at eBay, $35-$40 at Amazon). "Turn left at Orion", the missing manual (even with GoTo) :-)Īs /u/orlet pointed out, a 32mm Plössl is nice to have and shows a larger apparent field of view, but for now, the 40mm will work.
